Mother "Amazing"

I may not be perfect, but through her eyes
I am "amazing"
She doesn't see my wide nose, discolored skin,
Or my worry
She sees a mother that hasn't given up 

Despite everything I've been through
At times her smile protects me from a nervous breakdown when life seems a little bit too hard
Because of her, I have more of a reason not to give up
More of a reason to make my dreams a reality
For she depends on me to gather strength even when I have none
She is the reason that I get up everyday
If I fail, I have failed not only myself
But HER
She is the reason I have to keep living
She is the reason I have to keep breathing
So despite my panic attacks
I can't let my anxiety get the best of me
I can't let my insomnia stop me
I have to show her there is strength even when there's pain
For she is the reason I smile everyday
